Our SafehaNZ life jacket is unique in the world. Designed by New Zealanders for New Zealanders, the SafehaNZ life jacket features neoprene construction with strong stitching. Neoprene jackets are more comfortable to wear, last longer, and provide thermal warmth for the wearer.
But the greatest feature which makes our jackets unique in the world, is the zip off buoyancy collar. The jacket can be used as a water sports vest without the collar for a greater range of movement, and then zipped on for added buoyancy while enjoying boating activities.
The jacket also features side gussets which allows for greater freedom of movement while paddling or kayaking.

TAUPO
The original SafehaNZ model. The Taupo features a 4 tone smart colour scheme in red, black, grey and white stitching. The Taupo features the unique zip off buoyancy collar, and is available in 4 adult sizes – M, L, XL, 2XL. See the size chart pictured to choose the correct size for you.
FOVEAUX (Due to launch 2017/ 18)
The Foveaux is the SafehaNZ model for children’s sizes. The Foveaux features a neoprene construction to keep the little ones warmer as they enjoy their time on the water. Named after the narrow strait between the South and Stewart Islands of New Zealand. See sizing chart for sizing.
Wainui Super Size
As our Adult range (Taupo), and our children’s range (Foveaux) are named after New Zealand waters; so we have named our Super Size jacket.
In Maori, “Wainui” means “Big water” – an apt name for this SafehaNZ model life jacket. The Wainui is designed in New Zealand especially for all of the water sports fanatics, and fishermen who find there is no Super size jacket available on the market.
It all adds up to big size, big fun, and big safety out on those big waters!

The Puffer - Water Safety wrist inflator
The Puffer is a device strapped onto the wrist much like a wristwatch. It contains a heavy duty inflatable bag which is inflated by a 12g CO2 cartridge.
It is easily activated by pulling a lever and gives 50N of buoyancy.
It is a must as a safety device especially while enjoying the beach.
If caught in a rip, it will provide buoyancy while you can be rescued.
Weight of the unit is approx. 200g.
The Puffer can be reused and comes with 2 one-shot cartridges. Replacement cartridges are also available.
